Library classes are open to USC faculty, students, staff, and the general public. All classes are hands-on and last about an hour. They are held in the library's computer classroom. Classes are free of charge and offered on demand.

Consumer Health Websites

It's estimated that there are over 100,000 health websites and that over 80% of adult Internet users have searched for at least one major health topic online. Attendees will learn about the demographics of online health seekers, the impact of the Internet on doctor-patient dynamics, guidelines for evaluating health websites, and the most authoritative consumer health sites available on the web.

Current Awareness Tools

Current Awareness Tools can help you stay up-to-date on the latest publications. Attendees will learn how to create email search alerts, citation alerts, and journal issue alerts through databases and e-journal resources. We'll also take a look at using RSS feeds and podcasts to keep track of new journal content. Evidence-Based Medicine Resources
