| The library is pleased to offer USC School
of Medicine students the ability to send print jobs directly
to the library printers from their laptops. Laptop users
can download the Uniprint print drivers (found below) and
send print jobs from anywhere they are connected to the
School of Medicine wireless network. Users will have 24
hours to print the jobs from the library printers.
Uniprint drivers available for download:
Windows 2000/XP/2003
Mac users and those with a different Windows operating system

No, you only need to install the print drivers once.

No, the print drivers will be automatically updated as
new releases are available.

All print jobs should be sent to “B&W Printer,”
the default Uniprint printer.

The print jobs are sent to the library printers on the
first floor next to the Circulation desk.

Yes, you will use the Uniprint system to pay for printing.

No, you can send print jobs anywhere where the wireless
network is available on the School of Medicine campus.
How do I enable the duplex or double-sided printing feature?

- Open the Printers and Faxes window (for Windows users
go to Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes).
- Right-click on the "B&W Printer" and select
Properties from the drop down menu that appears.
- In the Properties window click on the Device
tab.
- In the "Available Options" menu, scroll until
you find Duplex Option. Highlight it and click
Add.
- You should now see "Duplex Option" in the
"Installed" list.
- Click Apply and then OK
Can I print from home? (back to top)
Yes, you can print from home if you are connected to the
School of Medicine network through a VPN (virtual private
network). Once you send your print job, you will have 24
hours to release your print job to the printer at the release
stations in the library.
