Strengthening Families Project

Strengthening Families: Resources for Partnering for Healthy Development of Children & Youth

This project is supported by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Bureau of Maternal and Child Health through The President’s New Freedom Initiative/State Implementation Grant for Integrated Community Systems for CYSHCN, and Early Childhood Comprehensive System of Care. Partnering agencies include Family Connection of South Carolina and PRO-Parents.

The purpose of the project is to offer web-based resources that support the partnership of families, healthcare providers, and education and care providers in the healthy development of children and youth, including those with disabilities and special needs. Intended users include families of children and youth, including developmental disabilities and special needs, licensed practitioners of the healing arts, public school personnel, early care and after school educators, and early intervention/early childhood/special educators serving families of children with different needs and abilities.
