Project STAGES: Supporting Students with Autism in General Education Settings

With funding from the South Carolina Department of Education and in collaboration with Winthrop and Francis Marion Universities, the Center for Developmental Resources houses Project STAGES to support appropriate inclusion of children and youth ages 3 to 21 years identified as having an Autism Spectrum Disorder in the general education curriculum.
10 modules—nine for general education teachers and one for school administrators—address understanding Autism Spectrum Disorders, the instructional, medical, and social needs of students with ASD, and evidence-based practices and strategies for meeting those needs across the general education setting.  Each of the modules for general education teachers includes an assessment of learning.
